As the primary streets of Moscow run from here in every direction, Red Square is ordinarily considered the central square of Moscow and of the Russian Federation. Resurrection Gate is known as the only existing gate of the Kitai-gorod in Moscow. It joins the north-western end of Red Square with Manege Square and gives its name to Voskresenskaya Square (known as Resurrection Square) located nearby. Moscow parks are also popular among tourists. Alexander Garden is one of the first public parks in Moscow. There are 3 separate gardens located along the western Kremlin wall. The State Historical Museum of Russia is a museum of Russia's history set between Red Square and Manege Square. Its exhibitions vary from remnants of the prehistoric people inhabiting present-day Russia to extremely valuable works of art acquired by the Romanovs. The number of items in the museum's collection numbers in millions.
